Position: Electronic Health Records (EHR) Project Manager

Position Description: The primary responsibility of the EHR Project Manager is to support the Application Trainers and related Health Center Entities on specific project assignments related to implementation of an electronic health records application in medical practices. • Develop and manage the implementation plan at each Health Center within the CVC. • Training medical practices on EHR application, including training providers, practice front office staffing, medical assistant staff and practice managers/administrators including office and clinical workflow, building and maintaining data tables and administering an EHR in the office. • Build strong relationships with practices on relevant project tasks. • Manage a project plan for multiple practices/locations including assessing practice operations. • Conduct technical assessments with practices to ensure they have appropriate technical equipment to support the EHR in their offices. • On-site support and issues triage/resolution for practices during implementation and specifically when practices “go live” on EHR application. • Post “go live” performance analysis review and support. • Track and support practice completion of critical practice deliverables, including table building, data entry and other practice specific assignments. • Support and coordinate data imports and related data formatting. • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Information Officer.
Qualifications & Requirements: • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree; • Minimum one year of work experience, ideally in a health care setting; Ability to assume sole and independent responsibility for various assigned projects and tasks; • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to significant matters; • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with people with different backgrounds; • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously; • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; • Strong analytical skills with the ability to focus on detail; • Ability to complete projects with tight deadlines and time constraints; • Skills necessary to obtain EHR -certified trainer-level knowledge and complete understanding of the latest version of the EHR application; • Solid understanding of the implementation process and the various interdependencies between operations and technology both internal and external; • Proficient in the following Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word; proficiency with Powerpoint, Access, and Project; and an understanding of Visio; • Strong ability to identify potential issues and participate in their resolution; • Excellent problem solving and investigative skills; • Excellent organization and time management skills.
