The Network Administrator I is responsible for monitoring and supporting all Network Services for CVC. This includes maintaining the security, availability, performance, and back up of related computer systems and networks in accordance with CVC policies and procedures.
• Assist in the management and maintenance the corporate Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN).
• Administer all Server and Network components keeping CVCs environment current within industry guidelines.
• Assist in the Design of new CVC Network topologies and infrastructure as needed to support maximum system availability of all CVC applications.
• Adhere to the CVC policies insuring that back and recovery options are in place including requirements for Disaster Recovery.
• Collaborate with vendors as required to support all CVC applications.
• Monitor Network performance and proactively report on system status and utilization.
• Support technology projects as required while providing minimal disruption to the operational systems.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of all CVC applications and the interdependencies between them.
• Provide end user support as needed.
• Assist with all areas in the IS department and department planning as required.

KNOWLEDGE OF:
The windows server and terminal services environment.
Experiences configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and the various components of the LAN.WAN infrastructure.
Ability to work on multiple projects within a varied work schedule to maintain system availability during CMC business hours.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Associates Degree in Information Technologies desired or 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
