The Network Administrator II is responsible for the installation, configuration, and management of all Network Services for CVC. This includes managing computer systems documentation, deployment, maintenance, security and performance.
• Manage and maintain the corporate Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Network (WLAN)) and Wide Area Network (WAN).
• Deploy, document, and maintain Server and Network components keeping CVCs environment current within industry guidelines.
• Design new CVC Network topologies and infrastructure as needed to support maximum system availability of all CVC applications.
• Collaborate with vendors as required to support all CVC Network Services and computer systems..
• Document, design, install, configure, and monitor Network/computer systems performance and proactively report on system status and utilization.
• Research and recommend new technologies to improve network services delivery.
• Maintain and audit network/computer systems security.
• Manage technology projects as required while providing minimal disruption to the operational systems.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of all CVC applications and the interdependencies between them.
• Provide end user support as needed.
• Assist with all areas in the IS department and department planning as required.

KNOWLEDGE OF:
Expert knowledge of network services delivery in a Terminal Services environment.
Expertise in the configuration and maintenance of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and the ability to install, configure and support various components of the LAN/WLAN/WAN infrastructure from a variety of vendors.
Familiarity with iSCSI SAN.
Ability to work on multiple projects within a varied work schedule to maintain system availability during CVC business hours.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Associates Degree in Information Technologies with 2 to 4 years significant Network Administration experience; or 4 to 8 years of relevant work experience
