Golden Valley Health Centers (GVHC) is participating in the Copa de la Diversion!
Hosted by the Modesto Nuts minor league baseball team, “Copa de la Diversion” is a season-long event series designated to embrace the culture and values that resonate with the Latino community.
As part of the “Copa de la Diversion,” GVHC and Health Plan of San Juaquin partnered with the Modesto Nuts to host three themed health fairs on game day. During each health fair event, GVHC will be present and will be providing various health care services.
Friday, May 27th, 12 P.M. – 7 P.M.
Dia de la Mujer | Women’s Health Day
May 27th is Dia de la Mujer at John Thurman Field in Modesto, CA! Golden Valley Health Centers will be providing free screenings and health care education tailored towards women’s health. Services for the event include:
- Blood pressure screenings
Golden Valley Health Centers Staff - Glucose screenings
- COVID-19 vaccines
- Health Education for women
If participants need additional care GVHC will be scheduling appointments at the event.
There will also be a pop-up shop event with a photo booth, balloon twisting, raffle baskets, massages, and much more! Join the fun as the Alebrijes De Modesto (Modesto Nuts) will be taking on the San Jose Giants at 7:05 PM.

Carros Locos | Crazy Cars (Men’s Health)
June 17th is men’s health day at John Thurman Field in Modesto, CA! Golden Valley Health Centers will be providing free screenings and health care education tailored towards men’s health. Services for the event include:
- Blood pressure screenings
- Glucose screenings
- COVID-19 vaccines
- Health Education for men
If participants need additional care GVHC will be scheduling appointments at the event.
There will also be Carros Locos (classic car show) on the concourse at John Thurman Field. Do not miss out on the Alebrijes De Modesto (Modesto Nuts) will be taking on the Lake Elsinore Storm at 7:05 PM.

Dia de Los Estudiantes | Children’s Health
July 29th is Dia de los Estudiantes day at John Thurman Field in Modesto, CA! Golden Valley Health Centers will be providing children with well-child checks and immunizations as they start going back to school. Services for the event include:
- Well Child Checks
- Immunizations
- Blood pressure screenings
- Glucose screenings
- COVID-19 vaccines
- Health Education for men
It’s important parents bring their insurance card, photo ID, and their child’s immunization card. Children do not need to be patients of Golden Valley Health Centers to receive services. If children need additional care Golden Valley Health Centers staff will be scheduling appointments at the event.
In honor of back-to-school, there will be a children’s health backpack drive! Get your child ready for school and watch the Alebrijes De Modesto (Modesto Nuts) take on the Fresno Grizzlies at 7:05 PM.
