Golden Valley Health Centers (GVHC) is excited to announce the formation of its Patient Advisory Committee (PAC). The PAC is a diverse group of patients who meet regularly to provide input on how GVHC can provide better patient-centered health care. Committee members have the unique opportunity to shape this new initiative through personal experiences, invaluable perspectives and crucial insights. While the PAC meetings will be held quarterly in year one, the dates and times for meetings will be determined by the committee members. Meetings will begin in March, 2024.
WHAT IS THE PATIENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE?
The Patient Advisory Committee (PAC) is a volunteer committee made up of patients who agree to provide input on how GVHC can enhance and optimize its services. The PAC plays a pivotal role in supporting GVHC’s goals of expanding community engagement and becoming the healthcare provider of choice for our community.
AM I THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS COMMITTEE?
GVHC is looking for people from across the Central Valley who are willing to share insights and feedback about the organization and the care that is offered. If you are interested in improving the services GVHC offers and want to make a positive impact on the lives of other patients and their families, this could be a good opportunity for you.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Commit to serving a one-year term
- Attend all possible PAC meetings
- Openly provide feedback, ideas, and suggestions
- Maintain confidentiality
- Advocate for our patients
- Collaborate constructively with staff
- Honor the core values of GVHC: Collaboration, Advocacy, Integrity, Innovation & Respect
WHO CAN JOIN THE PATIENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE?
- Current patients of Golden Valley Health Centers
- Individuals over 18 years of age
- Those passionate about improving the quality of care at GVHC
*Note: GVHC staff will review each application and PAC members will be selected based on regional representation and background.

Golden Valley Health Centers (GVHC) se complace en anunciar la formación de la Comité Asesor de Pacientes (PAC, por sus siglas en inglés). El PAC es un grupo variado de pacientes que se reúnen regularmente para dar su opinión sobre cómo GVHC puede hacer que sus servicios médicos sean aún mejores. Los miembros del comité tienen la oportunidad de dar forma a esta nueva idea con sus propias experiencias, ideas valiosas y pensamientos importantes. Las reuniones del PAC se llevarán a cabo cada tres meses durante el primer año, y los miembros del comité decidirán las fechas y horas. Las reuniones comienzan en marzo de 2024.
