GVHC’s vaccination plan

California is allocating COVID-19 vaccines as they become available to ensure equitable distribution. These phase plans will help guide you as to which individuals will be eligible.

The phase plans are as follows:

Now Vaccinating

Phase 1B

1B Tier One

  • 65 Years and above

Phase 1A

1A Tier One

  • Acute care, psychiatric, and correctional facility hospital staff
  • Residents and staff at skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and similar settings for older or medically vulnerable individuals
  • Paramedics and EMTs
  • Dialysis centers

1A Tier Two

  • Intermediate care facilities for persons who need non-continuous nursing supervision and supportive care
  • Home health care and in-home supportive services
  • Community health workers, including promotoras
  • Public health field staff
  • Primary Care clinic workers including FQHCs, Rural Health Centers, correctional facility clinics, and urgent care clinics

1A Tier Three

Other healthcare workers, including:

  • Specialty clinics
  • Laboratory workers
  • Dental / Oral health clinics
  • Pharmacy staff not working in settings in higher tiers
  • Veterinarians

Up Next

  • Those at risk of exposure at work in the following sectors:
    • Education and childcare
    • Emergency services
    • Food and agriculture

Phase 2
