Golden Valley Health Centers (GVHC), Manteca, recently expanded its primary care offerings to include Urgent Care. Located at 250 Northgate Drive, this clinic offers Telepsychiatry, Podiatry, Chiropractic Care and now Urgent Care. The addition of urgent care fills a critical need for patients in the area.
GVHC is one of California’s largest Community Health Centers and has proudly served Central Valley communities for more than 50 years. While the organization is fairly to San Joaquin County, GVHC has a long history of providing high-quality health care to residents. The growing network of clinics serves approximately 150,000 patients each year through 50 clinical locations.
Community Health Centers provide medical services across the United States, collectively serving 31.5 million patients, and 14,000 communities. While the need for primary care has grown in recent years with expanded Medi-Cal eligibility, providing ample appointment access with limited provider availability can be challenging at times. Healthcare organizations have adapted to fill the need for immediate access to services.
“Urgent Care is critically important to a comprehensive healthcare system,” said Dr. Eduardo Villarama, Chief Medical Officer at GVHC. “A patient cannot anticipate when they will be injured or sick. Therefore we don’t expect patients to always take the opportunity to set up an appointment,” he added.
GVHC walk-in urgent care clinics provide prompt treatment for non-life-threatening conditions, ensuring patients receive the care they need without delay. Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Friday, 8am – 7pm at the Manteca Northview clinic. A complete list of urgent care locations can be found at gvhc.org.
