Beginning July 1, Golden Valley Health Centers will transition to paperless billing through MyChart. Patients with a balance will receive their billing statements electronically instead of by mail.
With paperless billing, you can:

- View your billing information anytime, anywhere
- Pay your balance securely online
- Help reduce paper waste

You can easily return to paper statements at any time. To opt out of paperless e-statements:
To opt out through MyChart:
- Go to the MyChart mobile app or website.
- Select the “Billing” tile on the home screen
- Under Paperless billing, flip the switch off (it will turn gray).
- Confirm your choice by clicking Save changes.
MyChart will notify you when a new billing statement is available. To make sure you receive important billing reminders, please keep your contact information up to date and turn on MyChart notifications. Front Desk staff may also remind you of any outstanding balance during appointment confirmation calls or at check-in. If you do not have a MyChart account, we encourage you to sign up so you can receive and view your billing statements electronically.

If your child is under 18 and you’re responsible for their account, you’ll receive their statements and notifications. Anyone over 18 will be sent statements directly unless you’re considered the guarantor (the person designated as responsible paying the account’s bills) or are the power of attorney for those accounts.
Yes, if you’re a guarantor on a patient’s account, you can view their billing statements and make payments on their behalf. Please note that billing detail is limited when viewing patients between 12-17 years of age, per state law.
